While Bill Grease Cattle Company may be relatively new in name, it’s far from being green or inexperienced in the cattle business. With humble roots that stem back four generations, cattle have grazed the fertile Eastland properties since the early 1900s. Founded by Green’s great-grandfather Elmer Clyde Ford, ”The Farm” has seen its’ share of early dawn breaks and satisfying sunsets after a laborious day over the past century. Passed on from the elder Ford to Green’s grandfather Henry Deering Ford, to Green’s mother Terri Ford, and eventually to Green himself, he’s long valued a day’s worth of sweat equity and due diligence.

“I’ve always had cows as a way to keep the farm’s tradition alive, but now we are taking a leap of faith,” says Green. Earnest as ever, Bill Grease Cattle Company takes pride in preserving regionalism and tried and true traditions.
